Employer Matching Gifts

Your gift can go twice as far if you take advantage of your employer’s matching gift program. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, check with your human resources department or contact Donor Data Management Associate Kasse Guptill at kguptill@tbcs.org or 425-898-1720 for help. Some companies, such as Microsoft, will also match your volunteer hours.

Stock/Securities

Gifts of stock or other appreciated securities offer significant tax advantages and are simple to arrange. In most cases, you can deduct the full market value of the securities on the day they are sold. For information on how to donate stock, see our securities transfer information.

Restricted Gifts

You may designate your gift to the Cornerstone Scholars Fund, the endowment, or a specific program. Please contact Vice President for Philanthropy and Community Engagement Mariana Keller (mkeller@tbcs.org) if you are interested in making a gift to benefit a specific program.

Gifts In-Kind

The Bear Creek School occasionally requests or accepts contributions such as books, videos and DVDs, current versions of software, and classroom supplies that advance our educational mission. If you wish to donate items that have not been specifically requested by or discussed with a faculty or staff member, please contact Vice President for Philanthropy and Community Engagement Mariana Keller (mkeller@tbcs.org) prior to making your donation. If you would like an official acknowledgement of your gift for tax purposes, we will be happy to provide you with the appropriate paperwork.

Event Underwriting and Sponsorship

Sponsorship of Bear Creek events offers an opportunity for individuals or businesses to showcase their support of the school and receive public recognition in the form of advertising or promotion at the event, while making a donation that helps to maximize the amount of money raised at the event itself. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the annual gala.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts such as bequests or trusts are a meaningful way to leave a legacy while helping to educate future generations of Bear Creek students.
