Insider Tip 1: Plan Ahead for the Big Gala
Participating in the auction
The online auction is free and open to all in the community, including parents, grandparents, alumni, and parents of alumni. You must register to participate. Click SIGN IN to register and add a credit card for bidding online. Your registration will also be used for purchasing tickets, bidding online, and checking in at our in-person event on March 25.
Attending the in-person Gala dinner
Please plan to join us at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at the Overlake Golf & Country Club. Tickets for the event include a gourmet three-course dinner and will be available to purchase starting March 1. Capacity for the event is limited and we expect it to sell out quickly, so don't delay getting your seat!
Insider Tip 2: "Watch" Your Favorite Items!
Have your eye on the "Cannon Beach Memories" item? Click an item's "Watch" button to keep all of your favorite items in one place so that you are ready to go when items open for bidding.
Insider Tip 3: Set Up a Max Bid!
Do you have an item you would really like, such as the chance for your child to be the Division Head for a Day with Mrs. Gephart, but you don’t want to have to remember to check on it regularly to see if you are still the top bidder? Set up a Max Bid for it! After submitting your first bid, you will have the option to set a "Max Bid." When you set your Max Bid, the system will automatically bid on your behalf. When you've been outbid at your Max Bid amount, you will get a text message and a chance to get back in the bidding.
Insider Tip 4: "Buy Now" Items
We have some of our hottest items available to "Buy Now" on the spot at a set price! No need to stress about bidding!
Insider Tip 5: Bidding Groups
Have your eye on the "Grilling with the Headmaster" item? Join up with your friends to maximize your bid! Pool your resources and select a "designated bidder" to bid for your group!
Insider Tip 6: Pay by Check
Credit card processing fees are a significant expense; a 3% fee is added to all credit card transactions after the event. You can help us eliminate the expense by paying by check. Please email us if you would like to pay by check.
