Admission Decisions

Admission decisions are based on the strength of each applicant’s overall application compared with the overall pool of applicants. The parents or legal guardians of all completed and reviewed student applications receive one of three admission decision notifications:

  • Accepted – Applicant meets Bear Creek’s admission criteria, and an enrollment will be offered.
  • Candidate Pool – Applicant meets Bear Creek’s admission criteria, but the number of qualified applicants exceeds class capacity. If/when openings in a class occur, a qualified applicant will be selected from the Candidate Pool and offered admission. Those who cannot be accommodated will be contacted in the fall and asked if they would like to convert their candidacy for consideration in the next grade level/next academic year.
  • Denied – Applicant does not meet Bear Creek’s admission criteria. Please keep in mind that decisions are difficult to make and we are unable to share the reasons for denials, as admission files contain confidential information that may not be disclosed.

Current families applying for a new student can also log in to the Admission Portal to start an application.
