Summer Camp

As part of this year's Summer Camp, we are recruiting Upper School students (students entering grades 9-12 next fall) to assist camp teachers and coaches as a volunteer Counselor-in-Training (CIT).

The CIT program is designed to help Upper School students gain experience as assistant teachers/coaches, something that is especially useful for those considering a career in education or those who aspire to become coaches. It is also a great way to earn community service hours since students may count every week they are involved in summer camps towards the 100-hour Upper School community service graduation requirement.

Review the list of camps in need of CITs. Take a look and see if there is a camp that fits your (child's) schedule and area of interest/expertise. More information about each camp may be found on the Bear Creek Summer Camp webpage.

Please note: Since this is a popular program, the maximum number for camps that a student may request is two. Should demand for CITs exceed supply, some students may be permitted to add a third camp at a later date.

Read more about the CIT program requirements and objectives. Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing an application and returning it via email no later than Friday, May 10. (You may need to save the PDF and open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.) Handwritten or late submissions will not be accepted.
