I am sure you were as saddened this week as I was with the news from Governor Inslee that schools will not re-open this academic year. This loss of community continues to be difficult for all of us. We have been discussing and creating contingency plans for our spring school events since we transitioned to remote learning on March 6. With the clarity of the Governor’s decision, the senior administrative team will now pivot toward actualizing those plans and implementing creative solutions for our May and June community events.

Additionally, we are vetting innovative scenarios and alternative dates for the special year-end events and Commencement exercises for the class of 2020. We will share more details with you in the coming weeks. Thank you for your partnership and for helping make remote learning work well for students for the remainder of the school year. This too shall pass, and when we return, we will cherish being together even more.

Grace and peace,

Patrick Carruth
President and Headmaster
