Dear Parents,

Now that children ages 5 – 11 years old are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, we are offering parents with students in grades P4 – 5 the option to upload your child(ren)’s proof of vaccination in Magnus Health for access by our health team, in case of potential COVID-19 exposure at school.

According to Washington State Department of Health school regulations, vaccinated students may not need to quarantine if determined to be a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case.

If you would like to upload your child’s vaccination record to the secure Magnus Health portal, please select “Yes” and upload your child’s COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to the Student Health Tracker to-do list after he or she has received both doses. If you do not wish to upload your child’s vaccine record or have chosen not to vaccinate your child, please respond “No" to the item on the to-do list. As a reminder, student COVID-19 vaccination is optional and not required for attendance at The Bear Creek School.

Also, if you answer “No” now, but your child is vaccinated at a later date, you may always “Edit” your answer to the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card item in order to change your answer to “Yes” and upload the vaccine card. We will turn off automated email reminders from Magnus Health for students in grades 5 and below so parents will only be reminded once about this new optional item.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
