All School News
We are offering a variety of fun sports, arts, and STEM summer camps for students entering kindergarten through grade 12 next fall! Camps will be held from June 16 – July 11, in four one-week sessions, running 2 – 3 hours each day. Read about each camp offered and register your child today!
The Main building and Upper School offices will close at 1:00 p.m. on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 11. Please read more for office hours of Redmond Campus and Valley Campus over the summer.
Bear Creek is seeking to add a member to our event photography team! Sign up to capture quality candid and posed photos during school events (such as athletics events, performances, dances, and commencement). This is a paid, part-time position with flexible hours that include time for editing. See the job description to learn more.

Upper School News
In preparation for senior year, every junior should book a formal college advising appointment with Dean of College and Academic Advising Katie Gomulkiewicz. Please read the instructions emailed recently.
Check for Summer Assignments and Review in English, science, history, and math classes. Some assignments are optional; some are required, depending on the grade and class the student will be entering next fall.
Middle School News
In grade 6, students can choose between Band and Choir classes. Both classes meet twice a week and perform twice a year, once at Christmas and again in the spring. Parents of incoming Grade 6 students, please discuss the options with your child, and log in to make your child's selection.
This summer, students entering grades K – 8 are encouraged to try these summer reading challenges. Finishing the Checklist Challenge earns students a free dress day in the fall, and those who complete the A-Z Super Challenge will win a bonus prize during the first week of school! Parents can download and print both challenges to encourage their child's summer reading goals. Submit completed checklists by August 25.
Check Summer Assignments and Review for enrichment suggestions and ideas to keep your kids' minds sharp over the summer. Please note that summer math review is required for Middle School students enrolled in Pre-Algebra and above next fall.
Mark your calendars! In August, Middle School students and parents are invited join us for Meet & Greets at the Creekside Terrace, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., for a time of fellowship, a few fun activities, and a delicious summer treat. Grades 5 and 6 Meet & Greet will be on Monday, August 18, and grades 7 and 8 are invited on Tuesday, August 19.
Lower School News
Mark your calendars for summer play dates in July and August at Redmond Campus! Also, save the date for our Lower School back-to-school social on Thursday, August 29! Read more for grade-specific play date information.
All Lower School students and families, new and returning, are invited to attend our Lower School back-to-school social, Cookies at the Creek, on Thursday, August 28, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students may bring school supplies, check out classrooms, meet teachers, and enjoy a cookie.

Preschool News
Every preschool student received a paper Bear Bear to accompany them on their summer adventures. Whether at the park, having ice cream, or exploring new places, you can have your child take a picture with Bear Bear and upload the picture to Vidigami with a brief description. We will share them on the Preschool's Instagram @bearcreek.preschool and Facebook throughout the summer. No pressure to submit a photo; we just hope it adds some extra fun!
If your child will be a Bear Creek kindergartener next fall, look forward to play dates on Thursday, July 10, and Tuesday, August 5, on Redmond Campus Playground, at 9:00 a.m.
Little Grizzly Get Together play dates for preschoolers will be at the Valley Campus playground on September 2, 4, and 5, between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Class-specific dates and times will be communicated this summer.
Athletics News
Are you planning to register your Grizzly for a fall sport? Check out our Athletics Program Overview. Fall sports registration is due Friday, August 1. Read the recent Athletics Update for sports registration instructions and details about Middle School and Upper School athletics dates in the fall. If your child is considering playing an Upper School sport, please review the Attendance Policy and Commitment Level.
All student-athletes must receive an annual physical exam to participate in athletics. Schedule your child's appointment with your family physician early this summer to ensure eligibility. The Physical Examination and Medical Eligibility form, signed by your child's doctor (just the first page), can be uploaded to the Magnus Health portal.
