Lerner and Loewe's My Fair Lady

Gather round, one and all, for the prince is giving a ball! Upper School performing arts students are proud to present Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella in our Diamond Performing Arts Center. Six performances are scheduled; join us on the evenings of April 23, 24, 25, and 30, and May 1 and 2, at 7:30 p.m. The entire Bear Creek community, as well as friends, family, and guests are all welcome to attend. Online ticket sales are now open ($15 for adults, $10 for students, plus a small processing fee). This production will not be livestreamed.

Upper School News

Titus the Grizzly

Students interested in playing an Upper School fall sport next year (boys tennis, boys golf, girls soccer, girls volleyball, and boys and girls cross country) must attend the interest meetings scheduled for Friday, April 24. Locations will be posted at school.

Students will meet coaches and learn about summer practice, tournaments, open gym schedules, gear orders, and other season details. Attending a meeting does not commit you to play, but all students who are considering a fall sport should plan to attend.

Middle School News

Middle School Neon Night

Middle School students are invited to Neon Night, a high‑energy social filled with games, food, and fun activities. The event will take place on Friday, April 24, in the Main Commons and gym. Grades 5 – 6 will attend from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by grades 7 – 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. To add to the fun, students are encouraged to wear all white and/or bright neon colors to school as part of a special dress day. Get ready to glow! This is an event our Middle School students will not want to miss, and we are excited to celebrate together! Please be sure to RSVP by Friday, April 17.

Grade 8 students interested in playing an Upper School fall sport next year (boys tennis, boys golf, girls soccer, girls volleyball, and boys and girls cross country) should plan to attend the interest meetings scheduled for Friday, April 24, in the Upper School. Lower School News

Donut

Lower School dads are invited to join their children for fun, fellowship, coffee, and donuts on Friday, April 17, from 8:15 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Please come for an interactive activity on the playground and a visit to your child's classroom for coffee and a donut. If you have more than one child in grades K – 4, you are welcome to visit each child's classroom in this open-house–style event. Donuts and coffee for dads will be available in the hallway under the stairs.

Families with children in grades 4 – 6 are invited to attend A Guide to Growing Up classes on Saturday, April 18. Presented by Bear Creek’s health team, these classes are taught from a Christian worldview and designed to help children understand the how, when, and why of puberty in a comfortable, age-appropriate setting and offer parents helpful tools for navigating conversations at home. Space is limited. Register online ($30 per child) for the mother/daughter (10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.) or father/son (12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.) gender-separated classes, both held in the Kindel Library.

Grandparents Day

We are seeking volunteers to help make Lower School Grandparents Day a warm and welcoming experience for our beloved grandparents by assisting with welcoming and guiding guests, event activities, and clean-up. Please sign up online to volunteer on Thursday, April 30. This special day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the love, wisdom, and faith of our grandparents. Your time and support will make a meaningful difference and help create a joyful experience for our guests! If you have any questions, contact Jen Janison at jjanison@tbcs.org or 425-898-1720 ext. 341.

Parents of grade 4 students are invited to attend an informational session with Middle School Division Head Jenn McDonough and Middle School Dean of Students Daniel Bates on Wednesday, April 22, from 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. in the Kindel Library. The session will provide an overview of the Middle School journey and what families can expect in the upcoming school year, including expectations around class placement and math placement as students transition between divisions.

Preschool News

The Bear Creek School

Parents of current P4/P5 students entering kindergarten at Bear Creek next fall should plan to attend one of our orientation events on either Thursday, April 16, or Monday, April 20, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., in the Main building at Redmond Campus (8905 208th Ave. NE, Redmond). Learn about the Bear Creek experience and discover helpful resources for a smooth transition to kindergarten. Parents will receive information about our program, school uniforms, pick-up and drop-off, and much more. Please RSVP.
