School Uniforms
The use of uniforms has several significant benefits: they allow students to look like students, promote a mindset of school being a special place with special expectations, and develop school pride. In addition, uniforms avoid the need for a dress code, eliminate "dress competition," and present financial savings. Dress or casual uniforms are worn every school day unless otherwise designated for special events.
2024 – 2025 Uniform Guidelines
Christopher plaid is our school plaid across all grades, K – 12. Dress day uniform items must be purchased through DENNIS Uniform, Lands' End School Uniforms, and School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger. See below for vendor websites.
See the complete uniform guidelines in the Family Handbook (log in on MyBC/Parents) or read the School Uniform FAQ for answers to commonly asked questions about uniforms and free dress days.
Preschool students are not required to wear uniforms.
Lower School students in grades K – 4 wear dress uniforms on Tuesdays, on field trips, and for designated special events. Dress uniforms are also worn on the first and last day of school. The casual uniforms may be worn on all other days.
Middle School students in grades 5 – 8 wear dress uniforms on Mondays and Tuesdays. Casual uniforms may be worn on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Students in grades 7 and 8 must wear a P.E. uniform during physical education class.
Upper School students in grades 9 – 12 wear dress uniforms on Mondays and Tuesdays. Casual uniforms may be worn on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
