A Boy's Guide to Growing Up
Father/Son Health Class

$30 fee per child
Recommended for boys in grades 4 – 6.
Class will be capped at 35 father/son pairs. Only one parent, preferably dad or adult male relative, per child may attend. See also A Girl's Guide to Growing Up.
This class is designed to help children understand the how, when, and why of puberty in a comfortable, age-appropriate setting and give parents a chance to learn alongside their child and gain tools to navigate important conversations. This class is also open to newly enrolled students, potential students, or friends who are interested in the content being provided with a Christian worldview.
Class Objectives
- Understand normal growth and development, including the physical and emotional changes that happen during puberty
- Learn about the anatomy and physiology of the human reproductive system and human reproduction
- Provide answers to the how, why, and when questions related to a growing body
- Explain how to maintain a healthy body through personal hygiene, healthy living, and making good choices
- Assist parents in communicating the right information to their children as they enter puberty
