This challenge is for returning students entering grades 1 – 8 who wish to reach the Accelerated Reader (AR) point goal for their grade level. AR points earned between June 19 and August 11, 2023, will count towards your child's summer point total.

AR quizzes will be unavailable:

  • between May 27 and June 18

Parents may watch this tutorial showing how to support your child in using the AR system. If your child misses the AR quizzing window between June 19 and August 11, encourage him/her to complete the Checklist Challenge (see below). Students who complete the AR Challenge may also complete the Checklist Challenge and/or the A-Z Super Challenge (see below).

Summer AR Point Goals

  • Entering grades 1 – 2: 15 AR points
  • Entering grades 3 – 4: 50 AR points
  • Entering grades 5 – 8: 100 AR points
