Bethany Wong has been teaching since 2011 and joined Bear Creek's Middle School faculty in 2021. As an English teacher, Dr. Wong has the privilege of showing students that words matter, God matters, and all the best stories are true. B.A. English, University of Pennsylvania; M.Sc. James Besaw

LATIN TEACHER

Jim Besaw was born and raised in North Clarendon, VT, but is most recently from Philadelphia. He loves teaching biblical studies and has a passion for helping young people learn how to critically think about their faith. He enjoys snowboarding, weight lifting, reading, and traveling. Kelsey Thompson

Kelsey Thompson began teaching at Bear Creek in 2016, after teaching in public school for four years. She is an active member of Brass Band Northwest, where she plays baritone. She loves teaching across the divisions at Bear Creek and having students in class from grade 5 until graduation. B.M. Music Education, Central Washington University with Minor in Musical Theater Education M.Ed., Northwest University

Julie joined the staff at Bear Creek in 2022, having served in Christian education for over 20 years at three different schools, including 15 years as a middle school principal. Julie loves serving the employees of The Bear Creek School by supporting them so that they can do what they do best: helping students become the individuals God intends. When Julie isn't working, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband, daughter (Bear Creek Class of 2030), dog, and cat. Building Operations Staff

David “Dave” Dodson began working at Bear Creek in October of 2013 as a member of the Building Operations staff. Dave’s favorite part about working Bear Creek is getting to know the students and being part of a workplace that puts Christ first. As a Pacific Northwest native, Dave enjoys biking the Burke-Gilman trail, weightlifting, enjoying the outdoors, and collecting sports cards.

Amber is originally from Tacoma and now lives in Woodinville with her two daughters, son, and husband. When she's not busy taking care of her family or working, she's caring for her indoor plants—currently 30 in all. She enjoys working with her hands, including, tackling DIY projects, gardening, crafts, and organizing. Amber and her husband enjoy traveling and exploring new places. They also enjoy helping in Children's Ministry on Sundays and being involved in their church. A.A. Business Management, Pierce College
