Grades 11-12 Math Team Places First at 2018 HS Math Is Cool Masters

At the Washington State High School Math is Cool Masters competition held November 17 at Moses Lake HS, Bear Creek's grades 11-12 team competed in Division i (large or selective schools) and earned first place, beating out strong competitors from across the entire state. Congratulations to team members senior Peter Li and juniors Malcolm Weaver, Nelson Sun, and Andrew Hom. In the individual Calculus contest, Nelson placed fourth and Peter placed fifth.

Bear Creek's grades 9-10 math team also competed at Math is Cool Masters in Division i. Congratulations to team members sophomores Laura Xing and Christina Stepin and freshmen Andrew Lebedinsky and Thomas Huberty. In the individual Algebra 2 contest, Andrew placed sixth.
