Congratulations to seniors Evan Landau and Andi Li who advanced as Finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program, a highly coveted accolade that takes test scores, academics, and extracurricular accomplishments into account. They will be considered for this year's National Merit Scholarships.
The National Merit Scholarship Competition recognizes less than 5% of graduating high school seniors nationally. Earning recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Competition is no small matter. Historically, about 15% of Bear Creek students earn recognition in the program each year.
Additionally, from the 62 members of the Class of 2021, five more students, Isabelle Hayton, Elise Hedlund, Christina Stepin, Kathryn Sutherland, and Laura Xing, were recognized as National Merit Commended Students.
