2019 Seattle Region HS Math Is Cool Results

At the Seattle Region High School Math Is Cool competition held October 19 at Liberty HS in Renton, Bear Creek's grades 11 – 12 team placed third in Division 1 (large or selective schools) and qualified for the state-level Masters competition. Congratulations to team members seniors Nelson Sun, Andrew Hom, Malcolm Weaver, and Rita Luk, and juniors Alissa Wang, Laura Xing, and Lisa Le. Sun also placed fourth individually in the Calculus contest.

Bear Creek's grades 9 – 10 math team also competed in Division 1, placing fifth and qualifying for Masters. Congratulations to team members sophomores Thomas Huberty, Jeffrey Jiang, Andrew Lebedinsky, and Sherri Xu.

The Math is Cool Masters state-level competition will be held on November 23 at Moses Lake HS.
