On May 27-28, senior Caleb Ji won four matches to capture the 1B/2B/1A Boys Tennis Singles State Championship in the tournament held at the Yakima Tennis Club, the second State tennis title in school history. On May 24-25, sophomore John Hayes placed third at the 1A State Boys Golf Tournament at Liberty Lake Golf Course in Spokane. There were 80 golfers in the tournament. Freshman Oliver Nordberg was one of a handful of freshman to make the cut on day two of the tournament. He finished 38th overall. Senior Madison Baugh also competed for Bear Creek in the 1A State Girls Golf Tournament, but fell short of the cut for day two. See complete tournament results.
Advancing to the 1A State Baseball Tournament's final four for the first time since 2002, the Growls lost to Vashon Island, eventual State Champions, in the semifinals (0-1) on May 27. On May 28, the team lost another tough game to Freeman (2-3), taking fourth place in the State Tournament. See the complete tournament bracket.
Freshman Olivia Markezich ran in the 1A Track & Field State Championships held Eastern Washington University in Cheney on May 26-28, placing eighth in the 3200 (11:37.04) and seventh in the 1600 (5:20.66) and grabbing podium honors in both events. See complete meet results.
Carlon Park in Selah, the Bear Creek-Forest Ridge team represented itself well in its inaugural postseason. In the opening game, the girls lost to the defending State Champions and undefeated W.F. West from Chehalis (1-4). The girls battled back and won the next game against Sedro-Woolley (7-3). The season came to an end after a loss to Cedarcrest (5-10) in what was third game of the day.
