Grades 7 - 8 Drama Presents King's Boat, Beggar's Bow: The Story of the Odyssey Subscribe to Alerts
Diamond Performing Art Center, Upper School

Grades 7 and 8 Drama students invite friends and family to King's Boat, Beggar's Bow: The Story of the Odyssey, adapted from Homer’s epic by Grace Carruth. The play follows Odysseus’ voyage home after the Trojan War, with a combined cast performing two variations. Every student will have a role in each. Middle School students are encouraged to attend to support their classmates and must be accompanied by a parent. 

Friday, April 4:

  • 4:00 p.m. Broadway cast
  • 6:00 p.m. West End cast

Saturday, April 5:

  • 4:00 p.m. West End cast
  • 6:00 p.m. Broadway cast
Day-of Instructions

Call time for all students is 3:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday, drama students will meet in the drama room immediately after school and walk over to Upper School together. Theater doors also open 15 minutes prior to curtain.

Parking

Please respect all reserved parking spots. Should parking be full at the Upper Campus, please park at the Main Campus and take the lighted pathway to the Upper School. Please do not park on the street. 

Streaming

The performances will be streamed live from the Diamond Performing Arts Center. Feel free to share the link with out-of-town friends and family. 

Photography

There is a Middle School Theater Production event album ready and waiting for your photos on Vidigami, and a school photographer is planning to photograph the production. It is easy to share photos on Vidigami; you can access it directly from the MyBC/Parent page on the website or install the web app to your iOS or Android device and share photos directly from your phone. 

Recording

The performance will be recorded. Shortly after the production, the recording will be available for streaming on YouTube. Unlisted links will be posted on our Photos, Videos, and Streaming page.
