MS/US Parent/Teacher Conferences
-
Nagel Commons

You are invited to attend to meet with your child's teachers and discuss your son's/daughter's progress in class. Here are some FAQ's regarding conferences:

Who is involved? Parents meet with the teachers. Students do not attend these conferences.

What happens? When you check in, you will receive a mid-semester progress report (a snapshot of how your child is doing at the mid-semester point). You will then proceed to individual conferencing stations where you will have an opportunity to sit down with your child's teachers in turn and briefly discuss your son's/daughter's class achievements and/or any areas in need of improvement.

Where do conferences occur? Upper School conferences take place in the Nagel Commons. Middle School conferences take place upstairs in the art gallery area and Andrea Lairson Library, Early Middle School will take place in US classrooms.

Do I need an appointment? No appointments are necessary for Middle School and Upper School - just visit at anytime during the day and get in line to see the teacher. Please try not to exceed 5 minutes per teacher to ensure that wait times are minimal. Early Middle School teachers will have appointments.

Why do we have conferences? We believe that education is a partnership between school and home, so parent conferences provide an opportunity for us to work together. Parents comment over and over again how valuable this time is with teachers. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to attend conferences if possible.
