Hope Week is an annual tradition at Bear Creek during which we emphasize and reflect upon the hope we have in Christ while providing support for those in need around the world and in our own local community. We designate Hope Week as a time to be intentional about putting compassion into action. As we are reminded in Romans 12: 10-13,
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
During the week. students in grades K – 12 will engage in activities and prayer for those in need. The week will include special activities and chapels that encourage and inspire students to grow in their hope in Christ as well as contemplate how God wants to use them to share His love and light in our world today.
