In October, we host our annual parent/teacher conferences. You are invited to attend to meet with your child's teacher(s) to discuss your son's/daughter's progress in class. Here are some FAQ's regarding conferences:
When/Where?* Thursday, October 20, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. upstairs in the Upper School building.
Who is involved? Parents meet with the teachers. Students do not attend these conferences, and there should be no students in the building.
What happens? When you check in, you will receive your child's schedule. You will then proceed upstairs where you will have an opportunity to sit down with your child's teachers to briefly discuss your son's/daughter's class achievements and/or any areas in need of improvement.
- Grades 5 and 6: Parents must book a designated conference appointment. Please select your homeroom teacher from the links below and then select the appropriate option depending on whether your child has two or three teachers based on their block schedule.
- Grades 7 and 8: There is no need to book an appointment. Each teacher will have a station, and parents simply get in line and wait for a turn for short discussions (five minutes max) with their child's teachers. It is not necessary to meet with all teachers. Morning tends to be busier, and it may take an hour or more to meet with all of your child's teachers.
Parking. If the Upper School parking lot is full, please park in the lot at the Main building and follow the footpath to the Upper School. Our neighbors appreciate it when we leave the street unobstructed; please do not park on 208th Avenue NE.
* Additionally, teachers will have limited times available for remote conferences on Friday, October 21, for those who cannot make it in person. Please email your child's teacher(s) directly and request time to meet on Friday.
