The SAT will be administered to pre-registered seniors.
- Prior to the test, all students must download and install the Bluebook app at home. Do not wait until test day to do this!
- Log into Bluebook and complete Exam Setup. To log in, students will need a personalized sign-in ticket, which may be picked up from the Upper School reception desk.
On the day of the test, students should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. for check-in (test starts at 8:00 a.m.). Students may depart as they are finished. Note that students will not be able to access phones, smart watches, or backpacks at any point during the exam or break. Students are encouraged to leave these items with their parents. Students are recommended to dress comfortably, following the school dress guidelines, and bring the following items:
- No. 2 pencils with erasers
- An approved calculator with extra batteries
- Water (no other beverages are allowed in the exam room)
- Snack (for break)
Note that students will not be able to access phones, smart watches, or backpacks at any point during the exam or break. Students are encouraged to leave these items with their parents.
Students should create a College Board account, if they don’t have one already, in order to view SAT scores, search for colleges, and build a college list.
For more information and details, please visit the College Board or contact Ayoleida Páramo (aparamo@tbcs.org).
Per College Board, in the fall, seniors sit for the SAT to apply for college entry, and juniors sit for the PSAT to practice for the SAT and to qualify for National Merit Scholarships. Juniors should take the SAT for the first time in the spring. Bear Creek will host another SAT School Day in March 2027.
