Abby Gomulkiewicz '11 and Cameron Kesinger '11 competed in Public Forum debate at the National Forensic League's national tournament in Dallas, Texas during the second week in June. They qualified for the national tournament by winning and going undefeated at the Puget Sound national qualifier tournament in the spring. Over 200 Public Forum debate teams from high schools around the United States competed at the national tournament.
Gomulkiewicz and Kesinger came within 1 ballot of advancing out of the preliminary rounds. Their record placed them in roughly the top third of Public Forum teams in the tournament, an outstanding showing for Bear Creek's first national qualifiers in forensics in only the second year of the program.
