Preschool Update - May 2018

Dear Parents,

As the school year winds to a close, I think back to September and remember students who entered campus tentatively, but who now joyfully skip to class each day. We have seen tremendous student growth (in wisdom and in stature) that seemed to occur before our eyes, and lovely, new relationships forged with classmates and with teachers. It has been a great privilege to watch your children thrive as they develop into the individual God intends through their preschool experiences!

Authors & Artists

Thursday, May 24, 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Redmond Campus

Did you know that your child is an artist? Each preschool student will have art exhibited at Redmond Campus tomorrow evening in the Main Building. Preschool art will be displayed near the stairs at the entrance to the Lower School hallways. You will also get to enjoy visual, literary, and performing art featuring works by students in kindergarten through grade 12 in both buildings at Redmond Campus. Food trucks will be at the Upper School, so you don't have to rush dinner before joining us at this beautiful evening celebrating the arts.

Cubs Club
New for next year, we are excited to offer two additional Cubs Club classes, Gymnastics and Spanish. Continuing Cubs Club offerings include Redwine Soccer, Dance Discovery, Music and Movement, Sprout with Art, and Lunch Bunch. Cubs Club is an optional preschool program that lengthens the school day by forty-five minutes and is available from 11:45 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Class sizes are limited, and space is offered in each session on a first come, first served basis. Enrollees beyond capacities listed will be placed on a wait list. Registration for the 2018-2019 school year opens on July 1, but you can see all the offerings and learn more about the program, by visiting the Cubs Club page on our website.

Last Day of School

Cubs Club ends Wednesday, May 30. Then we will say our farewells with 2-day P3 and 4-day P4 classes wrapping up on Thursday, May 31 and 3-day P3, 3-day P4, and P5 students ending on Friday, June 1. Thank you for a wonderful year!

Farewell
We are sad to say goodbye to Julie Stenerson, Janya Veranth, and Michalyn Fenderson. Julie and Janya will continue to sub for us next year, so you will see them around campus. Michalyn is moving out of the area, and we will miss her presence at Bear Creek. All three have made their mark on Preschool students and families and will be deeply missed.

Summer Play Dates
Mark your calendar for these Wednesdays and join the fun on the playground this summer! Plan to attend the play dates for the class your child will be enrolled in next fall. Snacks and refreshments provided.
