Grade 8 Carnations Farms Field Trip on April 12
Dear Parents,
On Friday, April 12, grade 8 students will visit Carnation Farms for an introduction to sustainable agriculture and food systems. As you help your child prepare, please note the following:
- Students should go to their first period classes for attendance at 8:10 a.m.
- Students will return to school by 2:55 p.m.
What to Bring:
- Students should dress for the weather. If rain is in the forecast, please send your child with a waterproof, hooded jacket. If it is a sunny day, sunscreen and a hat is advisable.
- Students must wear closed-toed shoes suitable for walking around on a working farm.
- Each student should bring his or her own brown bag lunch and water bottle. A gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian snack will be provided.
We are looking forward to a fun and educational experience at Carnation Farms. If you have any questions regarding this field trip, please email janice.white@tbcs.org.
Take care,
