Grizzly Middle - Homework and Academics During Snow Days 2019

Dear Middle School and Early Middle School Parents,

I hope your children are enjoying the unstructured time of snow days and recognize that not all of them can use the "down" time for academics. In an effort to be predictable and supportive in the current dynamic situation, we have made the following academic modifications:

• Snow days are family days, and homework will not be assigned on these days. However, those who want to use the time for homework certainly may do so.
• Assignments that fall on snow days will be eliminated. Given the multiple snow days and expectation that next week will continue with snow delays and cancellations, we will cancel any daily work normally due on a snow day. Major projects, tests, and quizzes will be modified in content or rescheduled based on teacher discretion.
• Online assignments and ongoing assignments (those already started) will be given extended time. We want students to have time to talk with teachers about this work and will be flexible on due dates.
• Next week's work will be modified based on actual school delays and cancellations. 

Teachers will be communicating with you and their students about individual class expectations. Please be safe and enjoy time with your families. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
