Athletics Update: Spring Sports, Basketball Registration, and Upcoming Events

Chad Pohlman, Athletics Director

Hello Grizzlies,

What beautiful weather we are enjoying this week! I hope you were able to get outside and appreciate it. The Grizzlies are in the middle of a fun spring season and gearing up for the start of basketball (winter sports) season. Keep reading for more information.

Spring Season Update

All our spring teams are fully engaged in this condensed season, and it has been so much fun to watch. As the spring season concludes, please be on the lookout for any AP Exam conflicts. Spring season playoffs and conference championship tournaments will be held the week of May 10 – 15, and basketball season also begins on Monday, May 10.

Note: All spring sports athletes should complete their spring season before joining the basketball team. Athletes may count their spring practices and games towards the winter season minimum practice requirement.

Basketball Season

It is time to register for basketball. At lunchtime today, coaches had a chance to meet with all the boys and girls interested in playing. If you have questions about the season or the logistics involved with how things will operate, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or the head coaches.

Register for winter sports by paying the fee on our new registration portal and submitting your child's physical examination form, winter sports liability release, and all other requirements through the health portal. Students are not eligible to participate until all requirements have been completed on the health portal and the fee is paid. Please contact ATC Caitlin O’Neill (coneill@tbcs.org) if you have any questions regarding your child’s physical or other required forms.

Sports Registration

Please complete registration by Monday, May 3. We cannot guarantee participation for any student registering after that date.

Basketball season will run seven consecutive weeks beginning on Monday, May 10, and concluding on Saturday, June 26. All athletes must complete the WIAA minimum (just 5 this year; usually 10 practices are required) official practices prior to competing. We are currently working on game schedules which should be ready to view in the upcoming week at BCGrizzlySports.org, our new home for all Grizzlies sports team schedules. You may expect email communication directly from our varsity head coaches once you have completed the entire registration process.

We would love to invite your family to the banquet and honor him or her!
