Step 1: Read Policies
The Washington State Department of Health and WIAA consider basketball to be a high-risk sport in terms of COVID-19 and therefore require all basketball players to be tested three times each week during the season. Testing will be done at school under the supervision of the health team. Additional details of the testing regimen will be provided to parents prior to the start of the season.
Step 2: Pay Fees
Please reference the fees and deadlines for each season. Log in with your Bear Creek username (usually firstname.lastname) to register your student-athlete on the registration portal. Refunds will not be issued after team selection process is complete.
Middle School basketball registration opens October 1; Upper School basketball registration opens October 15.
Step 3: COMPLETE Releases and Forms
Submit your child's physical examination and medical eligibility form, liability release, and all other requirements through the health portal.
Students are not eligible to participate until all requirements have been completed on the health portal and the fee is paid, including the student-signed liability release for 18-year-olds. (In the fall, complete Back-to-School Registration. In the winter and spring, see these instructions for accessing our health portal.)
If you don't find the liability release for the current season (fall, winter, or spring) on your child's Student Health Tracker To-Do List, see the helpful information at the end of the FAQ about how to complete the necessary releases and forms.
Please note: Student-athletes must have the physical exam form on file before the first day of practice. Email Caitlin O'Neill (email@example.com) to let her know when your child's appointment is scheduled if you are unable to complete it before the registration deadline.
Step 4: Order Gear
Submit the gear size form and optional gear order form by the deadline. Consult the team pages for these forms.
