Tuition Assistance, Scholarships, and Grants
Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance enables The Bear Creek School to enroll mission-fit students who would not otherwise have access to an independent school education because of financial constraints. Our tuition assistance program assists families with domestic (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) students in grades K – 12 and requires submission of annual tuition assistance application.
Scholarships
Price Scholarship
The Price Scholarship program seeks to enroll talented mission-fit new grade 9 students who demonstrate academic excellence, Christian faith, and active school-community participation and leadership. The Price Scholarship is a merit-based renewable award.
C.S. Lewis Legacy Scholarship
The purpose of the C.S. Lewis Legacy Scholarship Fund is to support the mission, program, and activities of The Bear Creek School by providing scholarships to incoming and returning K – 12 students/families that demonstrate an active commitment to the Christian faith and are unable to attend Bear Creek for financial reasons. This scholarship is designed to fill unmet need between tuition assistance awards and the price of tuition and helps make a Bear Creek education possible to more students. This scholarship requires submission of annual tuition assistance application.
Frances and Roy F. Simperman Scholarship
The purpose of the Frances and Roy F. Simperman Scholarship Fund is to support the mission, program, and activities of The Bear Creek School by providing tuition assistance to current Bear Creek students/families who demonstrate an active commitment to the Christian faith and have need for additional financial assistance in order to attend Bear Creek. This scholarship is available to current Bear Creek students in grades 6 and above who are eligible for reenrollment to grades 7 and above. To learn more, please contact Director of Admissions Christie Hazeltine at chazeltine@tbcs.org. This scholarship requires submission of annual tuition assistance application.
Alumni Legacy Scholarship
Bear Creek values the legacy of multi-generational families partnering with us to further the mission of the school. The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is a one-time, per-household grant awarded to each newly enrolled child if either parent graduated from The Bear Creek School. Grants will automatically be awarded upon initial enrollment as Bear Creek’s thank you for continuing your partnership with the school. A tuition assistance application is not required.
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship will be awarded as follows:
- $2,000 – Kindergarten and above
- $1,000 – Preschool
Together, we look forward to educating the next generation of Grizzlies to become the individuals God intends. If you are a Bear Creek alum and have non-enrolled children for whom you would like us to consider for admission, please apply now.
Cornerstone Grant
These grants are awarded to new and returning domestic families who do not meet the threshold for tuition assistance but still have demonstrated financial need and meet certain awarding criteria. All who apply for tuition assistance are automatically reviewed for eligibility for a Cornerstone Grant. For yearly grant consideration, recipients reapply for tuition assistance and may continue to qualify for eligibility based on an annual review of their tuition assistance application, updated financial information, and a review of new or ongoing circumstances.
Sibling Subsidy
A 2.5% sibling subsidy is available to families with more than one domestic student in grades K – 12. Download a Sibling Subsidy Request form and email the completed and signed form to businessoffice@tbcs.org. Sibling subsidy requests from current Bear Creek families must be received by the reenrollment deadline, January 30, 2025. Families new to Bear Creek may request this subsidy at the same time they complete their child’s enrollment.
