Bear Creek's Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) serves our school, community, and world.

Membership in The Bear Creek School Chapter of the National Honor Society is offered to applicants who demonstrate outstanding qualities of scholarship, character, service, and leadership. Candidates are notified in January based on cumulative GPA, and the Induction Ceremony is held in April. See NHS eligibility requirements.

Food Drive

Each fall the entire Bear Creek student body is challenged to collect tons of non-perishable food to benefit the hungry in our community. Class competitions encourage students and families to donate generously. NHS officers and members collect the food and deliver it to the Hopelink facility in Redmond.

Blood Drive

In the winter, Bear Creek's chapter of NHS partners with Bloodworks Northwest to sponsor a blood drive on campus. The chapter promotes the blood drive with the goal of signing up as many donors as possible (age 16 and older). Give blood give life...the need never stops.

Finals First Aid

Twice a year during the week prior to final exams, NHS members volunteer to tutor classmates at drop-in sessions in the Andrea Lairson Library.

Concession Sales

During intermission at Upper School fall and spring theater productions, NHS organizes and sells concessions to theatergoers. Proceeds benefit various organizations including World Vision and Opportunity International.
