K – 4 After-School Enrichment Classes

Bear Creek Plus is our after-school program for Lower School students which includes a variety of vendor class offerings meeting one afternoon each week, Monday through Thursday.

Registration for Bear Creek Plus, Bear Creek's once-weekly K – 4 after-school classes, is now open. Winter session begins the week of December 1. Peruse the course catalog and register your child today.

Classes fill up quickly, and space is limited. Please register early for the best chance of getting your preferred class. The withdrawal deadline is Sunday, November 23, at midnight. To register your child, log in with your Bear Creek username (usually firstname.lastname) on the registration portal.

After School Routine

The Bear Creek Plus Coordinator collects students from their teachers beginning at 3:15 p.m. and escorts them to the correct classroom. Students may enjoy a snack from home before beginning class at 3:45 p.m. The length of each class varies, but most run until 5:00 p.m.

Three Sessions Annually

Fall session runs nine or ten weeks from September 15 – November 25.

Withdrawal deadline: September 7 at midnight

Winter session runs nine or ten weeks from December 1 – February 25.

Withdrawal deadline: November 23 at midnight

Spring session runs ten weeks from March 2 – May 19.

Bear Creek Plus classes will not meet on the following no-school days:

October 20 (Teacher In-Service)
November 11 (Veterans Day)
November 20 (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
December 18 – January 1 (Christmas Break)
January 19 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
February 16 – 20 (Mid-Winter Break)
March 16 or 17 (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
April 6 – 10 (Spring Break)

How do I register for a class?

The process for registration is online from start to finish. Please visit the Bear Creek Plus page during the registration window and click on the Register button. There you may log in with your Bear Creek username (usually firstname.lastname) to the registration portal.

All payments are due at the time of registration via credit card or debit card. Enrollment for all classes will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

What is the difference between Drop-off and Pick-up Supervision, Bear Creek Plus, and Middle School Teams?

Drop-off and Pick-up Supervision is designed to meet the needs of families who have students in both Lower School (K – 4) and Middle School (5 – 8), however, it is available to all families, even those without siblings in another division. The program covers care for Lower School students between 7:40 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. (M, T, Th, F) or 8:40 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (W) and for Middle School Students between 2:45 p.m. and 3:35 p.m.

Bear Creek Plus offers after-school enrichment classes for K – 4 students (days and times vary). Classes typically meet one afternoon each week over the course of a term.

Middle School Academic Teams are offered for students in grades 5 – 8. Students meet after school with a subject-area coach one afternoon each week during the school year.

Late Pick-up Fee

Please note that class end times vary, and as a courtesy to our staff, we kindly ask that parents pick up their children promptly at the end of each class. A late pick-up fee of $25 per 15 minutes will be applied (credit card on file will be charged automatically).

Refund and Withdrawal Policy

We understand that plans can change. Students who withdraw before the session withdrawal deadline (see above) are eligible for a full refund. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds after this date. Please note: Refunds are not available if a student is dismissed due to disciplinary reasons.

The Bear Creek School reserves the right to cancel any program or session due to low enrollment. In such cases, a full refund for the affected class will be issued.

Class changes must be approved by the Bear Creek Plus Coordinator and are subject to availability and age requirements. Please note that refunds or partial refunds will not be issued for class switches, and any difference in cost will be charged accordingly.

Attendance Policy

Attendance is taken as part of our Bear Creek Plus program to ensure student safety and accountability. Please note that we do not offer prorated tuition for missed classes due to vacations, illness, or other personal commitments.
