Innovation and Technology
At The Bear Creek School, technology is viewed as a tool that supports the school’s mission of providing a high-quality, Christian liberal arts education. Digital tools are used for active learning, content creation, and collaboration and to help students create, design, solve problems, and innovate. Technology is used to enhance the learning experience, provide students with access to information and resources, and facilitate communication among students, faculty, and parents.
From Bear Creek's AI Policy: The Bear Creek School, faculty and staff should be empowered and encouraged to address challenges creatively, to grow and learn, and to view their Bear Creek experiences as a shared adventure. Faculty should maintain ancient and modern methods to best accomplish their pedagogical goals and student outcomes. Innovation should be viewed as a way of thinking, and the use of technology, specifically AI, should not be viewed as an end in and of itself, and both should be recognized as having an impact on shaping student minds.
Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert Program

In 2025 – 2026, there are 29 Bear Creek educators who have completed the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert program. These are visionary educators who are always learning, growing, and collaborating with others to create positive change in education. They use Microsoft technologies and innovative teaching practices to enhance student engagement, creativity, and collaboration.
