The 2B State Track & Field Championships were held May 25-26 at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. The Grizzlies made several podium appearances including a third consecutive State Championship for senior Madelyn Magee in the high jump. Magee jumped a personal best 5' 9" to set a new school record and tie the 2B State record.
Other medal-winning performances include senior Morgan Rial finishing in fourth place in both the 400M and 300M hurdles, along with a third place finish in the 4x200 relay (with teammates seniors Elizabeth Fernandez, Danielle Isbell, and Magee), and fifth place in the 4x100 relay (teammates Fernandez, Isbell, and sophomore Bridget Daugherty). Magee also finished in sixth place in the long jump to bring her medal count to three. Overall the girls team finished in sixth place. Well done, Lady Grizzlies!
