At the 1B/2B State Golf Tournament held May 22-23 in Lakewood, Bear Creek's girls golf team won third place with 21 team points. This is the school's first team award in girls golf. Junior Morgan Cadigan finished in fifth place overall with a two-day total of 200 (day 1 - 98, day 2 - 102). In 2011 Morgan finished in sixth place and in 2010 she placed 12th. Junior Sarah Witt, participating in her first State Tournament, finished in 16th place overall with a two-day total of 221 (day 1 - 112, day 2 - 109). Forty girls participated in the State Tournament on day 1. The top-20 (and ties) advanced to the Championship Round on day 2.
Bear Creek's boys golf team placed fourth at the State tournament with 62.5 team points. The team won the State Championship in 2011, placed second in 2010, sixth in 2009, and second in 2005. Junior Ricky Olson finished in seventh place overall with a two-day total of 170 (day 1 - 85, day 2 - 85). Ricky tied for 17th in 2011 and placed 21st in 2010. Senior Jacob Imam finished in 18th place individually with a two-day total of 177 (day 1 - 92, day 2 - 85). Jacob finished in 20th place in 2011. Freshman Colin Diamond, participating in his first State Tournament, finished tied for 35th place overall with a two-day total of 191 (day 1 - 89, day 2 - 102). Eighty boys participated in the State Tournament on day 1. The top-40 (and ties) advanced to the Championship Round on day 2.
