Get a sneak peek at all the live, almost live, silent, and "unique to Bear Creek" auction items in the Auction 2015 Catalog.

Your Role

Each Bear Creek family is expected to procure an item or items valued at $150 for the auction. Success depends on you! The auction office offers procurement packets, ready for your signature, which you can drop off or mail to prospective donors. Each packet contains a procurement form, generic solicitation letter, and return and outer envelopes. We can prepare custom letters at your request.

We also need volunteers to help with planning, decorations, item preparation, and day of event activities. Contact Linda Sheppard at or 425-898-1720 ext. 338 to get involved.

The auction is the school’s largest community-building event and our second largest fundraiser. We invite all families to attend and will send an invitation to anyone for whom you provide an address. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, and other supporters from throughout the community. Hundreds of items will be available for bidding in Silent Auctions and a spectacular Live Auction. Last year over $325,000 was raised at the auction in support of REACH UP: The Campaign for Bear Creek to build a new Upper School and Fine & Performing Arts Center. Construction is underway, with an anticipated opening date of August 2015 but we are continuing to raise money to finish and furnish this new facility. Net proceeds from Auction 2015 will go towards completing the new building. This year’s Fund-A-Need will help equip Innovation Labs for each division.

The Innovation Labs will offer cutting-edge, creative independent learning environments that bring together the STEM disciplines – science, technology, engineering and math, with the arts and humanities. Materials will range from large foam building blocks, puppetry materials, Legos, and simple tablet programming opportunities for young students, through 3D printers, music and video composition tools, electronic and robotic components, and a variety of age-appropriate computers and software.

Invitations will be mailed in late January and we expect over 300 friends of Bear Creek to attend. How to attend and invite your friends.

Auction Volunteers

Do you love auctions? Do you want to meet other fun people and get involved in making a difference for Bear Creek? Whether this is your first event or you are an experienced auction volunteer, your time and talent are welcome! Parents, grandparents, students, and alumni are all invited to help. We need committee members as well as people who can give just a few hours to help prepare items or decorations, or assist on the day of the event.
