In the team's best-ever national tournament showing, senior Jesse Domingo placed fourth in Humorous Interpretation at the Cal Invitational at UC Berkeley. Senior Grace Carruth placed eleventh in Oratory.
Emily Huston named first alternate to State in Mezzo Soprano. Peter and Tadd Perkins are second alternate in the Mens Vocal-Small.
All four Bear Creek Semifinalists have advanced to Finalist standing in the 2015 National Merit and National Achievement Scholarship Programs.
Sophomore Adesuwa Agbonile received two Gold Keys for two short stories submitted in 2015 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Washington State Art Region contest.
On February 5-7, members of the forensics team competed in Spokane at The Thomas S. Foley Memorial Forensics Tournament, a major statewide competition known for having unique speech and debate events in addition to traditional events.
On January 30-31, 2015, the Bear Creek forensics team competed at the Kamiak HS 17th Annual Invitational Debate Tournament and earned first place trophies in Oratory, Impromptu, and Lincoln Douglas debate, plus many additional awards.
