Approach
The Bear Creek School has been excelling in K-12 Christian liberal arts education for the past 20 years and is now offering the same excellent education to students in the preschool years. You can expect the principles that stem from Bear Creek’s mission to be seen throughout the preschool programs.
The Bear Creek School preschool curriculum is designed to pique enthusiasm, develop a thirst for knowledge, and create a passion for learning. The mission of the school is to provide a high-quality, Christian liberal arts education in a nurturing environment that will enable each student to become the individual God intends. This cultivation of academic growth in a safe setting creates an atmosphere that is conducive to healthy brain development in early years.
Program Distinctives
A Love of Learning
The preschool program was developed by experienced educators who know the developmental needs of young children and can maximize students’ early learning potential. The activities that the students engage in each day are carefully planned to help students grow. Creativity, curiosity, and initiative are encouraged as students lay the foundation for a life-long delight in learning.
Christian Commitment
Bear Creek’s young students learn that God is the Creator and each of them is one of His most magnificent creations. They see that biblical Truths apply to how we live our lives each day as they work, play, and learn together in the preschool community.
Nurturing Environment
A warm caring environment is critical to a child’s growth and development. Teachers get down on the child’s level and embrace them with smiles and hugs each day. Encouragement and praise are heard often in the classroom, creating a nurturing and friendly environment. We believe that each child is uniquely created by God and brings his/her own personality, talents, and strengths to the classroom. The curriculum reflects recognition of the individual student and is tailored to meet each and every student’s needs.
Qualified Teachers
Bear Creek’s preschool teachers have a passion for classical Christian education that lights up each classroom. They love God and model the Christian life through word and deed. The teachers are formally trained in education, are certified in elementary education, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of early childhood development.
