The success of our annual auction depends on the participation of each family in our school community, and we encourage every family to procure one item valued at $150 or more. Summer is a great time to solicit items and gift certificates for the auction. Print out a few Procurement Forms and keep them in your car. Click the article title for more ideas.

Did you make a charitable donation to The Bear Creek School for Reach UP: The Campaign for Bear Creek, The Fund for Bear Creek, or the auction this year? Would you like to see your gift do twice as much for Bear Creek? If you work for a company that has a matching gift program remember to take advantage of it and double the impact of your contribution.

Have you volunteered in the classroom, chaperoned a field trip or ski day, or baked for an event? Numerous local companies recognize volunteer time through the donation of cash grants to non-profits for which their employees volunteer. This means that for each hour you volunteer, your employer may donate money to The Bear Creek School. Check with your human resources department for more information about your employer's program and how to participate.

Are you a Bear Creek parent who knows something about public speaking, theater, rhetoric, or debate? The Bear Creek forensics team, our competitive public speaking and debate program, is looking for volunteers. Click the article title for more information or contact James Woollard at jwoollard@tbcs.org if you are interested.

Are you interested in hosting a student from another country? Click the article title for more information or contact International Student Coordinator Emily Schuldt at eschuldt@tbcs.org or 425-898-1720, ext. 433.
