Friends of the Arts is dedicated to supporting and encouraging the artist in each student at Bear Creek. With the help of parent volunteers, Friends of the Arts works to promote, enrich, appreciate, and assist the Fine & Performing Arts Department including drama, music, and the visual arts. All parents and families are invited to join and to give of their time and talents as our students discover and express their God-given creative talents.

Congressional Art Competition Winner
Junior Alex Eppenauer was recently recognized as the winner of the Congressional Art Competition in Washington's 1st Congressional District. Alex will have her work, "Through Her Eyes," hung in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. for one year (pictured at left with Congresswoman Suzan DelBene). Her winning piece is based on time she has spent with the people of Nicaragua. Alex will travel to Nicaragua again this summer to build a home for a deserving family with the funds raised by Bear Creek's chapter of the National Honor Society during intermission concessions sales for Fiddler on the Roof. Read more about the award and the three additional Bear Creek honorees.
